                            The Voice from Ziruss 9

Not many people stop to think about the universe beyond a lunar eclipse or the occasional night spent scanning the sky for aliens. They only know it’s out there, somewhere beyond the reach of their daily concerns. But as a new arrival, understand this: your presence has a profound effect. Nothing is ever lost, never misplaced, not even your thoughts or hidden secrets. Even the inner ones you try to bury.

Planets come, planets go. But recently, a new world has risen—Ziruss 9, the last planet to appear in this solar system. No one knows how it formed; it simply materialized just beyond Neptune. A strong signal pulses from its core, growing louder each day. A pressure you can feel in your bones.

Eric felt it first. And he understood the message.

The Cosmic Warning

Ziruss: “Long before your planet opened its eyes, the universe was here—balanced and unmarred, supporting its new inhabitants through the harsh realities of survival. You are caretakers only; the universe is the sole owner. Since before time, the light on your world has been turned off and on many times, and you have rejected the warnings each time. The ones that you call politicians have failed you, and you rejected the warnings of the Custodians who have tried to rein in disorder, but now the balance is about to be thrown off axis.”

“There will be a meeting of all your world leaders immediately. Given how regulation has gone thus far, hopes for your existence seem dismal. You, Eric—a Custodian—may plead your case, but human society's decay worsens. We do not expect improvement. But there is one more we expect to see: Winoa Ingram, the one who speaks in ways all can understand. Have her join the Custodians, and we will listen.”

Eric: “She knows, even before you spoke her name. She will be there. Winoa does not travel as a Custodian would, but her presence is everywhere. She has spoken many times… but they do not listen.”

Ziruss: “They will. If not, we cannot sacrifice more of the universe to appease the arrogance of a hostile planet. One was sent to you 2,000 years ago; you did not listen then, and even now you do not understand. You are a selfish lifeform—one that could spread the cancer of ignorance throughout the galaxy. We will not let that happen.”

The Pressure on Earth

The atmosphere around Earth thickens. Breathing becomes harder. The weight of cosmic judgment presses down on every living thing. The signal from Ziruss grows louder, resonating through oceans, forests, and cities alike.

The Hopeful Ending

The weight pressing down on Earth began to ease—not because Ziruss relented, but because another voice rose.

It was not thunder, nor decree, nor the cold machinery of judgment. It was Winoa’s voice, carried like breath across the atmosphere, threading through every silence.

She did not argue. She did not plead. She reminded.

That the universe had always been a place of balance. That humanity, though flawed, still carried sparks of wonder, compassion, and renewal. That even in the shadow of arrogance, there remained the possibility of listening.

The Custodians paused. Ziruss grew quiet. The signal softened.

And for the first time in centuries, the universe did not turn away.

Hope lingered—fragile, luminous, waiting to be chosen.
